THE NVC AND ABUNDANCE PROJECT

I didn’t sleep much that night, like most of the nights I spent in Japan that time. It didn’t matter much, since I was pretty full from the trip, having taught NVC with my friend Jeff Brown in Tokyo and Osaka in the last 9 days. I just found out the day before that instead of flying back from Osaka as I thought, I was actually departing from Tokyo.  Luckily, one participant at the workshop worked for Japan Airlines and fixed it for me. That change of schedule meant that I would spend about an hour with Jeff on September 17th, going the same airport together and then parting our ways, since Jeff was going to Korea and me back in Quebec.

As we sat down to chat after going through security, I checked with Jeff if he had any interest in co-designing with me a retreat to help people create sustainability through NVC. In 30 minutes or so, we were already set with possible dates and a plan to lead a retreat together on this topic.

Now I’m proud and excited to introduce our NVC and Abundance Project to you.

Francois Beausoleil

When I had the opportunity to co-facilitate NVC workshops with Francois

in Japan in the Fall of 2008, it was the realization of a vision I had nearly 5 years before.

I met Francois in 2004 at a retreat we both attended near New York City,

and knew that some day, we would be working in partnership with each other.

Little did I know that it would center around the practice of Abundance

as it relates to NVC, yet I could not have found a more perfect companion to share my passion for supporting other in sharing NVC consciousness around the globe... which requires, in my mind, sustaining for ourselves and holding our own needs (such as support, mutuality and sustainability) equal to others' needs.

I hope you will join us in creating a worldwide community of people passionate about sharing NVC and embracing abundance as a vital component of doing so.
